At Baril Engine, we believe our team members are our greatest asset. We have one of the most experienced teams in our entire industry. Integrity, excellence, and teamwork are integral to our team; our crew is proud of what we do and committed to improving. We continue to expand our expertise with additional training and AERA certifications for our team members.
We are experts in all kinds of engines: Diesel, Gas, Agricultural Equipment, Industrial Equipment, Heavy Equipment, Heavy Trucks, Antique Tractors, Antique Cars, Street Rods, Racing Cars & Trucks, and Truck & Tractor Pulling. If you can name it, we’ve probably rebuilt it – at least twice.
Jeff
Service Manager / Jeff is a veteran of the engine industry with over 30 years as a master engine machinist, with extensive experience across all areas of engine repair. He joined Baril Engine’s team in 1995, heading up our block department for many years. In 2019, Jeff became Baril Engine’s Service Manager.
Jake
Parts Manager / Jake joined our team in July of 2021. Jake is an AERA Certified Engine Machinist; our customers have found they can rely on Jake as their expert in sourcing engine parts. Jake has years of inventory management experience and is an excellent resource for finding hard-to-source parts for our customers.
Dillon
Service Advisor / As a graduate of NASCAR Technical Institute’s Spec Engine Program and an ASE Master Certified Technician with years of experience in automotive and off-road performance, Dillon has the expertise to provide tailored advice and solutions for your engine projects.
Sebastian
Outside Service Advisor / Sebastian started as a Baril Engine machine shop apprentice in the spring of 2020, progressing through our training program to earn his AERA Cylinder Head and Engine Machinist certifications. He now uses this hands-on experience as our Outside Service Advisor.
Matt
Delivery Driver / An integral part of our service team, Matt joined our team in 2022 as our full-time delivery driver. His weekly route spans central & eastern Wisconsin as well as Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Kimberly
Office Manager / Kimberly has been in our industry and with Baril Engine for over 20 years. She started with Baril Engine in 1999 and now heads up all administrative operations within our office.
Sean
Shop Foreman / Sean is an expert in hands-on leadership with a rich history in the trades. His technical knowledge, attention to detail, and collaborative approach to management are a great asset to our team.
Becky
Marketing Manager / Since joining our team in late 2022, Becky has worked to improve our marketing materials, website, and customer records. We appreciate that Becky has been willing to jump in and help customers when needed.
Owner & General Manager
Jason Gillette
Jason & founder John Baril have been close friends for over 30 years; when John was ready to step back, he chose Jason to take over the business as owner and general manager in April 2019. Prior to Baril Engine, Jason had a 22-year career at MBM, culminating as Executive Vice President.
Baril Engine is a family-owned, independent, and growing company with stable ownership that is personally committed to its employees and customers. However, the owner of Baril Engine believes our purpose should be about more than rebuilding great engines. Our purpose is to love the Lord our God in everything we do and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Matthew 22:36-40). We strive to conduct our business in ways that leave evidence of our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is a high standard, and sometimes we fall short, but we persevere nonetheless.
